The Sifton- Cook Heritage Centre

Corner of Durham and Orr Streets, K9A 3H4, 905-373-7222

With the endorsement of the Ontario Ministry of Culture, it has been decided that the “barracks” building and its site will become the Sifton-Cook Heritage Centre, named in honour of two men, now deceased, who were instrumental in establishing the Cobourg Museum Foundation. An 1860s vintage workman's cottage, given to the Foundation and moved to the site in July of 2008, will be incorporated into the Sifton-Cook Heritage Centre as an administration office, welcome centre, and meeting facility.
